Massachusetts Shower

Here are some pictures from my shower in Massachusetts. Trip and I were blessed to have so much family travel to help us celebrate! We got many great items, and the ladies helped me sew butterflies for Baby Miller's mobile. Thank you everyone for making it special; big thanks to my mom and Sue A. for hosting! Now I have to find the time to finish them up, after writing thank you notes and a few other more pressing tasks. :-)

Other updates:

Baby Miller really wasn't (or was??) a fan of the airplane. She was especially active during each take off and landing. I'm thinking this is what changed her whole sleep cycle after we landed at 12:10 AM Friday morning... She's been closer to her normal schedule since return flights had us landing at 6:00 PM, a much better time to be active!

Tuesday afternoon was my 32 week check up. I've now met all the doctors in the practice, including the new PA (who is not in the delivery rotation unless extra help is needed during a cesarean). We got a good strong heart beat, and the doctor says I'm measuring on track. She tried to find baby girl's noggin, but wasn't able to get it. The doctor was going to have me go for a quick ultrasound to check if she was breech, but her heartbeat was so clearly low, and I told her that baby girl's been in essentially the same position since 18 weeks. If they can't find her head on the 16th, I might just keep my mouth shut... Confirmation would be nice! Although, I'd rather not pay for it...and even if it is medically necessary, welcome to a new year and new deductible. Guess it's going to be paid sooner or later.

The last few days I've developed some bad heartburn. I had to run out for some Tums on Thursday at lunch, and they've been pretty much a daily occurrence since then. This was a sudden experience. Yes, I've had heartburn in the past but nothing as consistent or early in the day as this. I'm guessing it is only going to get worse. Thankfully I've got some great advice from a friend who has GERD issues, so baking soda and water at night it is for me!

I'll try to get back into the swing of taking regular pictures again this weekend. Trip and I are both exhausted tonight, so I'm aiming for tomorrow!
