Baby Update

As promised here is a quick update on the baby. I had another appointment this morning, and was seen by the PA again. While I like her, I'm going to make a stink if I don't see Dr. Morton next appointment since I haven't seen her since I started rotating to meet all the different doctors. I had planned to start talking with her today about my plans/expectations/hopes regarding delivery, but clearly that didn't happen.

Baby and I are still both doing well. Her heartbeat is still firmly below my belly button, so she still isn't breech which is awesome. She was in one of her active phases during our appointment, so the PA got a kick out of that. Because of that, they charted her HB in the 130s, but it has almost always been 140+ - I just don't think they got a good reading. I gained a bit more weight since last appointment than normal, but I've also started swelling so they weren't concerned. In fact, wedding rings are now on a necklace and probably won't be worn again for another few months.

I asked about what I thought were some contractions, and it was confirmed I have felt some Braxton Hicks. I wasn't worried, but it was good to know that my suspicions were correct. I also asked when they would give me an estimate on her weight, and the PA said they can start making a guess during my next appointment since that is when they'll start the 'fun' exams.

Only other news is that we've decided we need to go back and paint the trim in the nursery. Unfortunately the previous owners were pretty careless when they painted, so there's a lot of blue on the trim we didn't see until we pulled the tape up. I've been working on re-taping the walls today, and hope to get the trim painted this week. Right now the plan is for me to get some painting done tomorrow while it's warmer with the windows WIDE open....Happy Birthday to me! :-P
