Getting Up and in Gear

I don't think that it's any secret here when I say that I am not an exercise person. Although I did participate in sports when younger (mostly basketball with a sprinkling of soccer), I never was on a school team. I got my exercise in high school through participating in the drama department, which really only meant dancing during the fall musical. In college I took Yoga as an elective, and then I also took Intro to Fitness as an homage to Trip. Needless to say, since moving down south I have been poked, prodded, wheedled, and bribed into trying to increase my exercise. I'll get in a good groove for a couple of months and then something always gets in the way. So now, my challenge to myself is to complete the Couch25k program. I've tried it before on my own, but struggled with timing the intervals while on the treadmill. This time I'm following the awesome podcasts from Cali at RunningintoShape.com. Awesome decision! She announces when it's time to walk and run, and there's new awesome music every week! I'm also switching between running the track at the gym, and then trying to jog outside in the mornings.

I am admittedly late posting this as this past week was week 3 of 9. Although, since I only made it out one time, I'm going to repeat week 3 again. Now the challenge is to keep going while packing up and moving!
