After talking a little bit more with Trip last night, I decided to not advance to week 4 of the Couch25k program until my knees etc. are no longer bothering me. He also gave me some advice on how to achieve a better stretch for the tendons and ligaments around me knees. So I headed to the gym this morning while Trip went to work for a school group. (I was supposed to leave early enough to check out the traffic by the new house...but yeah, that didn't happen!)
I did my normal warm up walk of about 5 minutes, before stretching. Although my knee areas still felt 'twingy' I didn't have any problems jogging today. I completed week 3 with no pain whatsoever, and my knees are feeling fine this evening. I didn't add in my extra 90 second jog at the end like I had been because I didn't eat a great breakfast beforehand and was feeling not so hot. So Wednesday, I'll try moving onto week 4! Hopefully my new stretching routine will keep working.
