A Quick Update

Meeting new cousin Hayden

Here are some recent pictures and a few quick updates. Amelia is now 5 months old, and continues to want to be in control of her body. She is 14lbs 1oz (heavier now) and 24.5 inches long. She can now roll both ways, but really prefers to be sitting or standing. Over the past two weeks she has really focused on her sitting and can go long periods before toppling. Amelia has enjoyed standing since, well, forever really; so she has gotten quite good at it! Last week Trip had fun helping her stand next to the ottoman where she quickly propped herself up. Right now she is working really hard on scooting and managed to wriggle her way forward a bit this afternoon. Knowing her determination it will only be a few weeks before she can really move. The house needs baby proofing stat!

This week we also welcomed Cousin Hayden! Hayden was born on Thursday afternoon at 1:15pm. Amelia had fun meeting her new cousin :-) She is looking forward to many years of playing together. Congratulations to Katie, Justin and big sister Hannah!
