| 37 Weeks = Full-term |
Unfortunately, I had to head back to the OB's office today for some blood work after finding out about a potential exposure to Fifth Disease. Thankfully it is very unlikely that I wasn't already immune, and it's also very unlikely to cause any complications this late in the game. However, out of an abundance of caution they wanted to run the blood work just in case. IF it comes back showing that I've had a recent exposure/illness, my doctor will refer me to the local MFM for further monitoring/consultation. If it comes back negative they usually have a repeat test done in 3-4 weeks, which, as the PA told me is not likely going to happen since I'll probably not be pregnant anymore. While at the office I was able to get a prescription for my newest sinus infection, so that was good. And we also went ahead and listened to her heart beat, which is still going strong!
In other news, I have definitely gotten to the stage of being really uncomfortable while pregnant. I have been blessed to make it this far while remaining relatively comfortable! Don't get me wrong, I am quite thankful for having it this easy. But I am really hoping that Baby Girl decides to move her foot/butt/knee/whatever body part it is out from underneath my rib! This is a new experience from the last 36 hours, and it is NOT pleasant. Between the rib pain and sinuses, sleep was pretty bad last night. Good thing for Trip that I finally got the guest bedroom ready for sleeping yesterday - so I slept in there. Now that I know for sure it's just not going to get better until she moves, I will hopefully sleep a bit better since I won't attempt my left side. Not consciously anyway.
Ok, those are all the updates for now! Next appointment is Thursday at 38 weeks!
