Trip and I were finally able to sneak over to visit Mary Alice, and of course proud parents Ali and Patrick yesterday. What a precious little girl! Although I was able to hold her immediately once we got there, with only a minor amount of cajoling, Trip ended up holding her most of the time. Of course, he sees this as no big deal. Perhaps he doesn't remember how insistent he was back in Nov. about NOT holding Jasper. Ah well. As he explains it now, Mary Alice was simply sleeping. No movement, no open, searching eyes. That, and the fact that she fits entirely on one arm probably helped too. Needless to say, Katie is very happy to see that Uncle Trip may finally be working out his fear of holding little ones! There are pictures somewhere, just unfortunately not on my camera.
I think we're both starting/experiencing varying degrees of "baby fever." Of course, we're not ready perse, but seeing most of our friends with children has been a blessing!
